Review: Laneige Clear-C Peeling Mask

Does it work?

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my humble but a currently a dusty blog. It’s been a while since my last posting and to be honest, I have missed sharing my thoughts on products I’ve used and love. As the title suggests, in this post I will be sharing with you a product that I have tried as part of my weekly home-facial-pampering- routine. I received this product as a Christmas gift and since I have used it a few times and I thought that it would be just right to share as I do not see much postings on this product.
The Laneige Clear-C Peeling Mask is suitable for all skin types and is said to be a texture refining care for the skin. The main feature of this mask aside from it being a peeling mask is that the mask is made with strawberry seed and mannan. Strawberry seeds contain high levels of natural acid which helps with the skin in terms of rjuvenating the skin and reduce redness or swelling around the eyes. The seeds are also good for exfoliating and cleansing the skin which is the main ingredients of the Clear-C peeling mask. The other ingredient is soft konjac granules which is a plant-derived malic acid AHA. Together with that and other active ingredients mixed with the strawberry seeds to make the exfoliation process more gentle to the skin when it is washed off with water.

With a generous 70ml worth of product packaged in a very sleek frosted pink jar for a price of RM 95, this wash-off type peeling mask is gentle on the skin and removes dead skin cells and makes yours skin smooth while keeping its moisture.
My thoughts about the product
I've been using it twice a week since I received it and so far, I have been loving it. It feels so gentle on the skin and the strawberry seeds mixed with the soft konjac granules even though it is an exfoliator for the skin to remove flaky dead skin cells. It is definitely worth the money even and is now on my list of products that I would repurchase and recommend to friends and family.

The only thing about the mask is the name. It seems a little bit misleading because it is a wash-off mask or rather an exfoliator instead of a peeling mask. But I am guessing that because the mask is meant to remove dead skin cells, in other words, it peels them off.
What I am most impressed about the peeling mask is that it brightened my skin after my first usage of the product. You could see the difference in how clear and fresh your skin looks. The texture is smooth upon application but with the main ingredients, it makes the exfoliation process a relaxing one. I have tried a few different face exfoliators and some has left my face feeling scarred and tight. However, because of the grains of strawberry seeds and mannans are small and fine, it does not leave the skin dry, scarr them or tighten the skin, however, it still manages to retain the moisture.

Take a look at the before and after picture below!
Overall
Overall, this is something that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a gentle exfoliator that shows results instantly! I do think that the price is worth it because of how clean and fresh it feels after every usage and does not feel harsh on the skin too. Especially like myself who has sensitive skin due to eczema, this is something that has been working well with my skin.

To end the post, here's a short video of me using the product! If you have tried it, please share with me your thoughts on it!

Till my next post!
