Finding My Zen

Hello there! Thank you for dropping by!
Here's a little sharing post for all of you.

Work has been very stressful this past couple of months. With the new structure being implemented, extra workload and other factors to contribute to the pain of all of these, what else could the result be other than stress. I told myself that I do not want to feel this way. I can't and I won't allow myself only because all stress could attract negative energy which leads to depression. I knew that the only way that I could get away from all of that was to start doing something that could change all the negativity into something positive.
And, I've come to realise that my way of finding my zen is through yoga.

Yoga, is derived from the Sanskrit word yuj which means *to join* or *to yoke* . It is a way of mediation done by the Hindus back in the days to unite their mind, body and spirit through certain physical and mental exercises so that they will be in a state of complete awareness and tranquility of a mystical union with the Supreme Being.

I've only recently started YOGA. I'm still very much new at this but with all the changes around me which I could only do so much, I decided to start something that would help me get rid of the stress and all this negative energy around me.To be honest, Yoga was never my first choice because I thought that I was too stiff for it. It's only been a 8 classes and so far, it's been painful ( in a good way LOL). But hey, no pain no gain right. Personally, I feel that yoga is very calming. It relaxes your mind , body and spirit. The different positions, breathing exercises and body postures you do and practice helps strengthen your core muscles and keeps you feeling calm and relaxed. Plus, it's a good way to get in shape too!

One way to think of zen is this - It is a total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind. Zen is a way of being. Zen involves dropping illusion and seeing things without distortion created by your own thoughts. When you are able to find your zen and the state of which you are in control of your mind and body, you'll be able to understand yourself better and be in control of your body and mind through whatever situation you are thrown into.

Well , this is my way of getting rid or rather a way of reducing stress. It makes me happy ;) You can do anything basically, as long as at the end of the day, you feel better bout whatever you do.
